The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) recommends that a chimney or venting system be cleaned and inspected once a year with normal use. A professional cleaning done by Lakeside Chimney leaves no mess and includes a top to bottom safety inspection in accordance with the NFPA 211 fire code.

Before you use your fireplace, it is critical that you have a chimney inspection so that you can be sure that your chimney is not a fire hazard. We offer 3 levels of inspections. These inspection levels have been classified by the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and they are the standard upon which certified chimney sweeps base their work. 

Having a clogged dryer vent adds to the possibility of your dryer being a fire hazard.  Clothes dryer fires are one of the top causes of household fires each year in the United States, causing approximately 15,000 fires annually. Having your dryer vent cleaned on a regular basis will help prevent deadly and costly dryer vent fires.

If your chimney has a clay tile liner, it is likely that at some point it will need to be replaced or repaired.

Chimneys are slightly different than most masonry structures as they are hollow in nature and are designed to "breath". We understand the complexities of chimney venting systems and can offer the correct repair at reasonable prices.
